Trips will start from just R19.

Uber has started testing a new feature which will enable riders to take trips from as little as R19. At the moment, Uber trips start at R25. This new lower price is called UberNAM and these trips mainly use hatchbacks. According to the company, they are cheaper to run and allow for more affordable, short trip.s Bolt launched a similar trip a while ago and it led to drivers protesting lower commissions. Uber is, however, optimistic about this new addition to the app.
