The deal is set to be finalised during the first half of 2021.

Uber has announced it will be acquiring the popular alcohol delivery service app Drizly for $1.1 billion USD in stock and cash. Drizly has been a popular alcohol delivery platform in the USA since 2012. Uber wants to add the functionality to deliver alcoholic beverages to users through the Uber Eats app. Currently, Drizly is delivering in 1400 locations in the USA. Uber is hoping to expand this and even go international with the alcohol-delivery side of Uber Eats. The acquisition is set to be completed by the end of the first half of 2021.
