The collection features sweatshirts, oversized tees, silk satin shirts, chains, and lapel pins.
Travis Scott started working on his Dior clothing collection during last year’s hard lockdown.
Now, since some of the pieces are being revealed, he has revealed that his upcoming album was the inspiration behind the designs of the clothes. His new album will apparently showcase what he calls a psychedelic rock genre. This inspired him to introduce a cactus and mushroom theme on his clothing line.
“I’m in this new album mode where it’s like psychedelic rock. So even just like the field of cactuses and mushrooms, you might get tripped out,” he said in an interview with WWD.
His collection includes sweatshirts, oversized tees, silk satin shirts, chains, and lapel pins with his own illustrations and Cactus Jack symbol.
In the interview, he said he also wanted to use the clothing line to pay homage to his hometown, Texas. The textures are thus meant to remind people of the countryside – a sight that he remembers from his childhood.
The rapper also added couture pieces to the range, for special occasions.
He added: “We tried all different types of silhouettes, taking it somewhere that I usually don’t even go with my own clothing. We produce more street style things, so to come into a house that does more couture-level, and kind of mesh, it was kind of cool.”
