Tinder rolls out video chat functionality

July 9, 2020

It is only available in certain parts of Europe and America for now.

Tinder has started rolling out its new feature called “Face to Face” which enables users to chat with each other through a video call on the app. The feature doesn’t require people to exchange any personal information like numbers or email addresses, seeing as the video call takes place in the Tinder chat itself. Previously, users would have to do video chats on third-party apps. Users going into a video call with a hopeful will have to consent to keeping the chat PG, which means no nudity or funny business, however it seems that no filtering exists in the platform yet. This feature is only available in parts of Europe and the USA for now.
