Eskom is seeking emergency electricity 

After more than a week of rolling blackouts, Eskom has officially released a request for proposals to procure an additional 2 000 megawatts to be added to the grid. This comes after Eskom has said that its own capacity to meet electricity demands is not sufficient. According to the request, electricity from various sources and technologies are being considered. This will (hopefully) ensure that load shedding is limited to a minimum
