The airline won’t be able to survive after April.

Amidst the nationwide lockdown and travel ban, SAA is running out of money. According to reports, the airline only has enough funds until the end of April. Many experts have said that the only viable option is for SAA to liquidate. SAA has said that it wants to offer all of its employees retrenchment deals. Trade unions have, however, rejected the offer. Apparently, they have suggested alternative plans to keep the airline in business. Trade unions and SAA management are said to continue talks throughout this week.
