The Ever Green ship may not leave the Suez Canal until they pay for the chaos they caused

They need to fork out about R14.6 billion.

Although the Ever Green vessel has been freed from the Suez Canal, officials are refusing to let them leave and continue with their voyage. Apparently, they are being held accountable for the chaos, damage and losses that they caused while they were stuck in the Canal. The total amount they need to fork out amounts to R14.6 billion! The Suez authorities have set they are also completing an investigation into the ship’s conduct to determine exactly how this blunder came to be. They said that the minute the vessel agrees to pay compensation, they will be permitted to leave. Ever Green has not commented on this as of yet.
