The campaign is encouraging people to run 2km each day at their homes during lockdown.
With South Africa’s lockdown well underway, those living active lifestyles might be finding it hard to adapt to the new rules that prohibit running, jogging or walking outdoors. A new campaign called the Mzansi Lockdown Marathon Challenge is encouraging people to run at least 2km per day at their homes during this time. Those who successfully complete the challenge will receive a digital medal and, as the organisers have put it, ‘ultimate bragging rights’.
