Spotify has announced that it will soon be rolling out new functionality on its app that will allow podcasts to be watched on video and not just supply an audio feed. The reasoning behind this is that many people who enjoy podcasts typically go to platforms like YouTube to watch it, instead of listening to it. Spotify hopes to secure an even larger segment of the podcast market by adding this feature to the platform. Only selected podcasts will have video options with audio capabilities for now.
