Elon Musk said he will allow an independent developer to use the company’s game in a Mars Simulator game.
An independent game developer, Lyubomir Vladimirov has spent the last 154 days tweeting Elon Musk. He was asking Musk for permission to use the SpaceX name and logos as part of a new game he is developing. The game is a type of Mars Simulator survival game.
On 13 January, Musk finally replied to the developer and said he can use the name and logo of SpaceX and that he “probably won’t sue”. “Mars Is Flat” is the game’s name and eventually, users will pay to play it. The developer has vowed to donate at least 80% of the profits to SpaceX for allowing him to use their logos and name.
