The coin will feature old coin icons

In 2021, South Africa is set to get a new R5 coin. It features a nostalgic insert of older coins, including one inspired by a Bible verse, and the famous laughing Mandela R5. The idea behind the new coin is that it celebrates the 100 year existence of the Reserve Bank. The official designs for the new coins were released last week.
