The company is testing various ways to put an end to this practice.

We’ve all done it – gotten a friend or family member’s Netflix password, logged in and enjoyed countless hours of series without paying the company their due. Now, Netflix is working hard to put an end to this so they get their fair share. According to reports, the streaming giant is testing a few solutions it has developed to crack down on culprits. Apparently, it will work in such a way that Netflix will detect if users live together. If they do, no problem. If they don’t, they’ll be unable to log in using their friend’s details. Currently, the feature is only being tested on smart TV’s but Netflix will almost definitely roll this out to its web app too.
