The platform is light on data and gamified to make education fun and easy.
Digemy is a South African startup that recently launched a new gamified platform that aims to educate people in the country and greater Africa on the coronavirus. IT is data-light, making it more accessible to people using mobile data as their main means of connecting to the internet. The fact that it is gamified is also unique – by doing this, they manage to make learning fun and easy. Users complete a set of quizzes and games that test their knowledge of COVID-19. They can do this as many times as they like to improve their scores. Digemy said that it is offering a R15 000 prize for the user who is at the top of the leaderboard – the money will be donated to an organization fighting the virus of the user’s choice. The platform is free to use and available at www.covid19-learn.com
