Italy has been in a nationwide lockdown for a week.

Italy has been on a national lockdown since 10 March. Under this lockdown, residents are required to remain in quarantine to curb the spread of Covid-19. Italy has been dubbed the epicentre of the virus in Europe. Over the weekend, footage was posted online that showed hundreds of isolated Italians coming together from their respective balconies and windows to sing songs and dance together amidst the ongoing uncertainty about the coronavirus. Some residents even pulled out their instruments to make the occasion even more joyful.
