New Instagram account is exposing SA celebs who wear fake Gucci

August 18, 2021

Big Zulu and Mampintsha have been featured on this account recently.

On Instagram, a new account has been created that is aimed at exposing local South African celebrities who have made a habit out of wearing counterfeit designer brands, like fake Gucci clothes.

The account’s handle is @fake_guccicommunitysa. So far, the likes of Big Zulu and Mampintsha have been outed on this channel. Mampintsha actually appeared twice on the page for his Gucci bucket hats, which are apparently not genuine at all. They have alleged that he has an entire collection of fake designer hats.

Other influential icons, like Shawn Mkhize’s stylist, Shaun Stylist, was also exposed for wearing fake designer outfits, including counterfeit Gucci hats. He was also accused of wearing a fake Gucci tie, Gucci bag, Gucci belt, and so much more.

Mabhodo, a well-known local socialite, also made it into the limelight for allegedly wearing fake Gucci pants.

It is admitted that counterfeit designer goods are becoming harder to spot and there is no official proof that the Instagram account is indeed correct in its allegations. That being said, it is also difficult to prove that they are indeed not right, seeing as the celebs implicated in the scandal have not yet come forward to state their cases.

One thing is for sure, though: South African celebs better be sure they wear the real mccoy or risk being featured on this trending Instagram reveal-all platform.
