She posted a picture of herself in a swimsuit which led to several uncalled for comments.
It seems that not even Miss SA, Shudu Musiḓa is immune against cyberbullying and internet trolls. The current Miss SA recently posted a picture of herself in a yellow swimsuit at the rooftop swimming pool of her luxury apartment in Sandton.
Although the comment section was flooded with compliments and positive messages, Musiḓa also had to endure a number of ill-intentioned comments from haters. Some of the comments stated that she “always poses half-naked” and that she needs to “motivate the country more”.
The Miss SA organisation responded to these comments with a condemning statement. According to them, Musiḓa is on a well-deserved break after a hectic schedule of appearances last year. Amid this, she also completed her honors degree at Wits.
“In response to social media comments about Miss SA posting images of herself in a swimsuit, taken at her apartment on the weekend, we would like to point out that Shudu has been on a well-deserved holiday after a whirlwind and demanding timetable following her crowning in October last year, a period in which she also completed her honors in international relations at the University of Witwatersrand,” Miss SA chief executive Stephanie Weil said in an interview with TshisaLIVE.
This is not the first time that the reigning Miss SA has been attacked on social media. After her crowning, she did a homecoming tour to her home village of Ha-Masia. When posting moments from that trip, she received several negative comments, most aimed at damaging her self-worth.
Shudu Musiḓa responded to the comments by posting more swimsuit photos on Twitter. This time, she rocked an olive green bikini and a red bucket hat. She tweeted the photos with the caption “One more for hate”.
