They created 5 new fonts which users can choose from.

Microsoft’s default font has been Calibri since 2007 after it replaced Times New Roman. Now the tech giant is again asking users to vote for a new default font. The winning font will be the default option on all of their Office programs, like Word and PowerPoint. Microsoft commissioned designers to create 5 brand-new fonts.

They took to Twitter to ask users to vote for their favourite one. The 5 options are Tenorite, Bierstadt, Skeena, Seaford, and Grandview. In a statement, they said that a default font is directly connected to the impression we make, which is why they are asking their users to make the call.
