Microsoft is officially dumping Internet Explorer

They first launched the browser 25 years ago.

Microsoft has officially decided to pull the plug on Internet Explorer. This has been their native browser for the Windows operating system for the past 25 years. They are replacing Internet Explorer with Microsoft Edge – a more modern and secure browser that has been coming with newer versions of Windows. Internet Explorer will not be supported from June 2022 onwards. One of the main problems Microsoft hopes to solve with this switch is compatibility issues on certain legacy websites and applications. The tech giant has been running several campaigns over the past 5 years to promote Edge above Internet Explorer.
