All those who attended are urged to go for COVID tests

On Sunday evening, the minister of health, Dr. Zweli Mkhize urged all matrics who attended matric rage events across the country to isolate for 10 days. This comes after many who attended such events have subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. The government has labeled these events as “superspreader” events. Mkhize issued the alert for pupils who attended parties at Ballito, Plettenberg Bay and Jeffreys Bay. The organisers of these parties have since made a comment saying that safety measures were followed at the events.
