This year, it will be a global virtual event.

This year, those interested can join the annual Mandela Remembrance Walk and Run (MRWR) from anywhere in the world on Saturday 5 and Sunday, December 6. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the walk will not be taking place from the Union Buildings as usual. Instead, this year anyone can enter the race from anywhere in the world and take part on a route of their own. All one needs to do is to enter the event online and afterwards, a virtual medal will be mailed to participants.
