They made 304 583 sandwiches for Madiba Day.

Ladles of Love is a Cape Town-based non-profit organisation who invited people in the area to assist them with feeding the hungry this past Mandela Day. They made so many sandwiches, that they broke the record for the most sandwiches made in an hour. The official number of sandwiches they made is 304 583! They made the sandwiches at the SUN Exhibition Area at Grand West. SASKO sponsored 14 000 loafs of bread for the initiative. One thing is for sure, they definitely made a difference in many lives over the weekend.
