The health-food restaurant, Kauai has introduced a new subscription based service. The basic idea is that customers opt to pay a fee every 15 or 30 days. Kauai will then deliver a certain amount of coffee to their address in the set subscription period at no extra cost. The 30-day subscription costs R299 and is valid for 30 days. Customers can get up to 240 cups of coffee under this plan. There are also similar plans available for smoothies, though the pricing on these differ. Kauai has said that they are the first restaurant in South Africa to craft a subscription based model.
