iPhone users will soon be able to select default apps on iOS

This is one of the biggest features of the upcoming software update.

Usually, iPhone users would not be able to select which apps are to open certain links and files on their device. Apple forces users to use their own native apps, like Safari for all URLs. According to recent reports, this is about to change. For the first time, Apple will allow users to choose their default apps after they update their iOS to the latest version which will be made available within the next couple of weeks, offering more customisation to iPhones. Soon, you’ll be able to set Google Chrome and Gmail to complete tasks instead of Apple’s native mail app or Safari, a massive leg up to one of Apple’s main competitors.
