Instagram is rolling out a new “recently deleted” feature

February 4, 2021

It will store deleted content for 3 days, so if you want to change your mind, you can repost the image.

Instagram is making it easier to bring back deleted posts. The company is rolling out a “recently deleted” feature in the app that’ll allow you to review content you’ve deleted. Users can then easily restore the deleted content if they change their minds. The function can restore deleted photos, videos, reels, IGTV videos, and stories. Similar to Apple’s recently deleted folder in the iOS gallery, it will only store content for 30 days. After this point, it will be deleted forever. To access the folder, navigate to Settings > Account > Recently Deleted.
