At some KFCs, the queues blocked the roads and they ran out of chicken.
In New Zealand, the lockdown relaxations brought about the chance for people to visit drive-thrus again. At many KFCs across the country, people formed massive queues to get their hands on the Colonel’s famous fried chicken. Some of these lines were so long that they actually formed roadblocks, leading to traffic coming to an absolute standstill. Some customers waited for almost 4 hours before they were able to place their order. Other KFC branches in New Zealand reported that they ran out of chicken by mid-day.
