Google has officially submitted plans for the development of a new campus. The new campus is located very close to its Silicon Valley HQ and the idea is that it is built in a town-like style so that Google employees can literally get to work in the mornings in less than 10 minutes. According to the plans, the town will feature close to 1 850 residential units, 20% of which will be earmarked for affordable housing offerings. This move has been criticized by some, as it comes at a weird time when the world of work is operating mostly remotely.
