The train is transporting COVID-19 patients from the east of France to the west.

With hospitals in the east of France running at capacity, French officials decided to convert some of their high-speed TVG trains into cross-country ambulances. The trains were turned into railway ambulances, equipped with medical staff and equipment, to transport patients to hospitals with more capacity in the west of the country. It takes roughly five hours for patients to be transported to the hospital and each car of the train can accommodate about four patients.
