Charges include damage to property and the violation of a protest permit
The EFF took to the street of Brackenfell last week Friday. Although they were granted a protest permit for 100 protesters, thousands of supporters arrived in the suburban town to show their solidarity against an alleged act of racism at Brackenfell High School. During the protest, certain EFF members caused damage to private and municipal property. The City of Cape Town has said it will be instituting legal action against the EFF. The EFF have officially said that they will not pay for a thing and will fight the City in court.
