City of Cape Town taking strain for high water prices

August 17, 2020

This comes after reports that dams and reservoirs are at 80& capacity.

The City of Cape Town is facing severe criticism and pressure from residents regarding high water tariffs. Dams and reservoirs in the area are at 80% capacity and the high tariffs were introduced back when the province faced a severe drought. Residents are saying that the lockdown regulations have already caused a loss of income and the unnecessarily high tariffs are not helping their situations.
