June 11, 2020

This is one of the new temporary isolation and medical facilities in the Western Cape.

The Hospital of Hope is the name of a new temporary medical and isolation facility that has been set up in the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). Today, the temporary hospital will be ready to start receiving patients. The hospital was installed as part of the province’s preparations for a spike in COVID-19 cases in the country. Many experts have warned that the peak in the country’s cases is still upon us. The Hospital of Hope will be able to accommodate at least 862 patients.
