October 20, 2020

This is due to COVID-19 concerns.

The City of Cape Town has taken the decision to cancel this year’s festive lights switch-on event in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the City, the event usually draws 100 000 people from all over the country. As health experts have warned that large gatherings are to be limited to curb the spread of COVID-19, they took the decision to cancel the event this year. They are looking to present the event next year again.
