Amazon says that they are seeing a significant increase in the number of online shopping transactions amidst the coronavirus outbreak. Their labour force simply can’t keep up with orders. In a bid to counter this, they have announced that they will be hiring 100 000 new full- and part-time employees. Although these positions are mainly in the USA, the new employees will also assist in making sure that international shipments are processed efficiently.
