Abba treats fans to a brand new album

September 3, 2021

The band has shared two teaser tracks yesterday.

After nearly 40 years, Abba is back with a new homecoming album. Yesterday, they shared the news that fans can expect brand new music from them pretty soon. They even shared two new songs from the upcoming album, I Still Have Faith in You and Don’t Shut Me Down.

The new album will be released on 5 November 2021 and in 2022 the group will begin their London show featuring performances captured by their digital avatars.

The group first started making name for themselves after winning Eurovision, the most popular singing competition in Europe, in 1974. They won the competition with their hit, Waterloo which is still a part of many golden playlists to this day.

As one of the most celebrated bands in music history, they sold over 400 million albums over 50 years despite parting ways in 1982 and resolutely resisting all offers to work together again – until now.

According to the band, the new album has already been recorded and it “is done now”. Members of the band added that although it has been 40 years since they last performed together, it felt like old times. They added that with the new album, they did as well as they could “at their age”.

Their age is by no means a bad thing. They also mentioned that due to the fact they have been in the industry for so long, it adds a certain level of depth to their new music, which they hope fans will enjoy.

The new track, “I still have faith in you” has already been streamed more than 3 million times since its release on YouTube yesterday.
